Dear Marion, Rhian, and the family I would like to send you my condolences. I know John from the time when he was part of the International Church of Christ, which I think would have been in the late 90s / early 2000s. We were both part of the same small group for a while, and he kindly allowed us to have our meetings at his flat in Pinner. I would also play some chess games with him from time to time, which we both enjoyed. We got on well together, and I appreciated his friendship. My wife knew him also, and we both attended the wedding. Having lost touch with him after that, it was only in this past week that I have learned about his recent illness and sad passing.
