Friend and Colleague

I was saddened to hear of John's death and send my condolences to Marion and Rhian. I met John when I worked at the Harrow District Land Registry in the 1980s and 90s. He seemed to me to be a young, innocent, gentle person. John told me that his family lived on a farm in Wales and I thought what a different way of life he had left to come and live and work in Harrow. He kept in touch with his Welsh roots by attending the Welsh Church in London. At the time I used to go line-dancing and I remember John showing me a photograph of himself in the Church magazine line-dancing at a Church social event. He obviously enjoyed the experience! As, I'm sure his friends will know John was a Welsh speaker and I think very proud of his Welsh heritage.

John was pleasant to be with and nice to talk to. He was much loved and will be much missed.
